Great Outdoors

Our nursery children have great fun playing, learning and exploring outdoors. We encourage use of the outdoor environment on a daily basis, as it's a valuable opportunity to enhance and extend what we offer the children indoors. Our outdoor activities include:

• Nature trails in the local parkland
• Mini obstacle courses to encourage balancing, jumping, crawling and climbing
• Parachute games
• Sand and water play
• Ball and beanbag games to enourage hand and eye co-ordination
• Spring gardening activities
• Caring for our pet rabbit
• Storytime in the garden
• Songtime under the parkland trees
• Teddy Bear's picnic
• Summertime sports

Our younger nursery children enjoy the fresh air and the stimulating environment with regular trips out in our six seater kiddy bus to the local parks.

Children are encouraged to bring wellies and suitable clothing to experience and explore the seasonal changes. We also take regular trips to Penylan Library, Waterloo Gardens and the local playground.
