Meals

Children are provided with breakfast, a midday meal and light afternoon tea. Fresh drinking water and milk is provided throughout the day.

Our in-house cook provides freshly prepared meals which are varied, healthy and nutritious to ensure the children have a carefully balanced diet with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and are presented with foods that they enjoy eating.

Mealtimes are an enjoyable social occasion and staff sit with the children in small groups to encourage this. Any concerns about a child's eating habits will be recorded and discussed with the parents at the end of the day.

Information received from parents about a child's dietary requirements will be followed and an alternative and in accordance to parent's wishes.

The children have their own veggy patch where they grow their own vegetables.

Monday

Roast lamb with potatoes, peas, cauliflower and mint sauce.
Peach and raspberry trifle.

Homemade cream of tomato soup and French bread.
Apple.

Tuesday

Quorn, carrot and courgette casserole with cous cous.
Apple crumble and custard.

Cheddar cheese and buttered cream crackers.
Fruit loaf.

Wednesday

Tagliatelle with Neopolitan sauce and sweetcorn.
Carrot cake.

Homemade vegetable and noodle soup.
Homemade oat cookie.

Thursday

Mild chilli con carne with Basmati rice.
Chocolate mousse.

Homemade cheese straws with carrot and cucumber sticks.
Orange and lemon sponge.

Friday

Homemade cheese and tomato wholemeal pizza.
Fruit salad.

Hot cross buns.
Banana.
